This is an extraordinary private museum showcasing amazing infrastructure. Erawan also means elephant hence the elephant sculpture. There is easy access from the BTS Sky Train, just a 15 minute walk. The Erawan Museum is known for its giant three-headed elephant art sculpture as exterior. This is the first and biggest hand-carved sculpture in the world–43 meters high.
It seems lovely from the outside, but the interior is able to impress you more. There is nothing merely decorative here, as everything is set up to teach you about Thai religion and culture.
The normal ticket price is 400 THB for foreigners including audio guide, but you can get a ticket half price if you go after 17:00.
